Shawn took some time out to round-up the press we’ve received so far for the World Clock Project. To our pleasant surprise, the project reached out to some unexpected countries (e.g. Sweden, Turkey, Japan).

“This girl in a glass house is putting finishing touches on the bombardier nose section of a B-17F navy bomber, Long Beach, Calif. She’s one of many capable women workers in the Douglas Aircraft Company plant. Better known as the “Flying Fortress,” the B-17F is a later model of the B-17 which distinguished itself in action in the South Pacific, over Germany and elsewhere. It is a long range, high altitude heavy bomber, with a crew of seven to nine men, and with armament sufficient to defend itself on daylight missions” – 1942 Oct.

Moonlight Chronicles from Dan Price

Dan Price sent over a small stack of his latest Moonlight Chronicles. He's been living totally green--a strict no gas-powered vehicles rule. That might be easy for us city folk, but when you live miles from the nearest town like Dan does, it's a commitment. These days, he trikes.

Lately I’ve been wanting to share interesting images I come across. However, virtually all the images on this site are just automatically fetched from my Flickr feed, and I didn’t want to have to upload random images to Flickr just so they’d show up here.

A few lines of Ruby code later, there’s now a quick way to post images directly to Plasticity in seconds. But enough nerd speak, expect more visual goodness here.

WATERCOOLER Saturn is the one that looks like fun

Of our nine planets, Saturn is the one that looks like fun. Of our trees, the palm is obviously the stand-up comedian. Among fowl, the jester’s cap is worn by the duck. Of our fruits and vegetables, the tomato could play Falstaff, the banana a more slapstick role.
